Choosing Between Letter and A4

If you are in North America (the United States, Canada, or Mexico), standard office copy paper is Letter (8.5 x 11 inches). If you are in the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, or Africa, standard copy paper is A4 (210 x 297 mm).

Notice that Letter is wider than A4 (8.5 inches vs 8.27 inches), but A4 is taller than Letter (11.69 inches vs 11.0 inches). For this reason, printing an A4 grid document onto Letter paper without adjusting settings will cause top and bottom lines to be clipped. Always match your generator selection to the paper loaded in your printer.
